I have been M.I.A.. I was in a car accident, and found out lately that I have been suffering from sciatica. So I have been just trying to get by this summer. Not much going on, haven't even seen the new Harry Potter yet:) I did however finally get to see the King's Speech on Saturday, with my mother. We both LOVED it.

June 24th -June 25th.

Above, a picture of my nephew in Pigeon Forge. My mom, sister and I took him there to "feed the bears." He had been talking about doing that since our last trip there. We also visited the aquarium. Since it was the opening of Cars 2, he got to see that too:) We cater to him just a little. He has a lot of changes coming his way; he is going to have a little brother in September.

We also had a great Father's Day cookout at our house this year. LOTS or family.

Our July 4th weekend was looooonng, but not too eventful. I was hit by another car and was injured, but I'm fine know. It was just pulled muscles. Our neighborhood had one heck of a fireworks show! What I really told my husband was I know some of those people are going without groceries for a week so they could have big fireworks.

My actual birthday (Memorial Day weekend) I just kind of wanted to relax. We went to see Hangover 2 (which is very raunchy but is HILARIOUS,) and went to eat at Buca di Bepo. I get to choose everything and don't have to do anything I don't want to on my bday:) We just went ahead and celebrated two days with the movie Bridesmaids (which I also loved) and Logans. I received some lovely things from my Mom and Dad on Friday night, (and a meal of my favorite thing, fried oysters.) So pretty much I like to eat for my birthday LOL. My hubby did VERY well in the present area also. This weekend we are getting ready for a cook out at our house for Fathers Day. I have a pretty special Dad, so I hope it goes off without a hitch:)

Memorial Day weekend (and my 35th birthday weekend) we went to the most gorgeous and fun wedding and reception. We loved the favors as you can see. They also had a photo booth as seen above.

I got to meet up in Nashville with my girls. I also got to see my god daughter, and her new little sister (who is absolutely precious.) My good friend Emie brought her little cuties as well. They are all such sweet and well behaved kids. Since it was my "birthday weekend eve" T and I also celebrated at Ruth's in Nashville.

May and June are busy months for us. Here is an overview of festivities.

Derby time started out for us at the opening night of Churchill Downs. We attended with a bunch of WONDERFUL friends and had a ball! We did not attend Oaks this year, but we did get to go to our annual WOTM derby party. It is always a blast:)

Current events will not bring there loved ones back, help with there health problems, or give them back time spent on sadness and pain. I do hope that this recent news will help the victims and loved ones of 911 on the long journey of healing. Bless those Navy Seals and every one that risked there life so this villain would be no more.

I have heard discussion on the white bridesmaid dresses. I know traditionally they have been frowned upon. I loved them in the Royal Wedding. With all the colors of the church, and with Williams uniform they where the perfect choice in my opinion.

I had a wonderful weekend with my Valentine! Our Valentine's weekend is going to continue till Tuesday; it was the closest date we could make reservations at Stony River. (I kinda of dropped the ball on that one.) We exchanged gifts yesterday and ate Arby's in the car. It was very romantic.

This is our favorite weekend at the Corder home. We love Thanksgiving, but besides that it is our anniversary. We went to the play "A Christmas Story." We loved it. Another favorite thing I get to do on this weekend is decorate for Christmas (yeahhhh!!) We had a four day weekend, but I think we both agree we are taking even more time off for this week next year. I hope everyone had a splendid Thanksgiving:)

I have been m.i.a., because my poor mother has broken her leg. It has been and continues to be a long road to recovery. We go on vacation here soon, but everyone has assured me she will be taken great care of. She broke it about 3 weeks ago. Please say a little prayer for my mom:)

I have recently been turned on to Mad Men. I LOVE IT. I don't know why I had not started watching it earlier. I think it is because of all my series obsessions.

I hardly watched TV in my twenties, (except for SATC) but I guess that is what domestication does for you:) The vintage clothing and sets are enough to watch the show for in it self. Love, love, love, it.

Fun Weekend

First of all I got to take off on Friday and go to an AWESOME doll auction. It had wonderful antique dolls, and some artist dolls which I don't really "do" but where still very interesting seeing sold. Then we headed down to Western Ky for the weekend to see my friend Bellinda. We swam and ate (WONDERFUL food down around that area.:) We also went to the Fancy Farm picnic, which it was really HOT there so we did not stay long.

It's been HOT. We have had a pretty low key summer so far. We have worked on our back porch landscaping, went to the lake over 4th of July, did some antique mall shopping, and had some guest for a BBQ. I have been really busy at work, but when I am at home I have been a lazy summer girl.

I went to see Toy Story 3 on Sunday, and to be honest I cried like a baby. It is a really good movie. My husband opted not to go see Toy Story, so he saw A team. He liked that as well. We are going with our niece on Thursday to see Eclipse. I hope the movie theater is not jam packed with screaming tweens..:)

I hated to see Tudors off the air. We really enjoyed the show, and the last episode did not disappoint at all. When we went to London and went to the Tower, and to Windsor and such; it was remarkable how close to actual history the show was.

Also..
I don't think I made an update on here, but Sirius has been injured. Something bit him on his back. We where so very scared. We took him to the vet and they gave us medicine to administer. He seems to be better, but it is going to take a while to completely heal. It is sad because he can't go out side and play at all:(

Soooo....we are having a very laid back weekend. It is HOT!! My mom, sis, Conner (our nephew) and I went to ride Thomas the Train yesterday. Thomas is BIG with Conner. He had a great time and I love seeing is happy face, but oh my gosh it was like walking around in an oven.

OK, so "someone" decided that he didn't have to come home last night. He and his buddies decided to hang out all night, gallivanting around, doing who knows what, and leaving us at home worrying about him! That's right, Sirius, not T, decided that he didn't need to come home last night and hung out all night with his buddies, doing who knows what! He was one tired kitty when he got home this morning, Jen let him in and he went straight to bed...gallivanting, I tell ya!

This weekend is going to be big !! SATC 2 comes out! I told my husband it came out just for my birthday. One of my best good buddies is coming up to celebrate with me. My sweet husband plans to cook dinner for us; then it's to the track on Sun. Tomorrow night I am celebrating with my mom and dad. No matter how old I get, I am still there girl:)

(BTW..I don't really think Glee is that good this season.:() I read today that when she discovered David Bowie and Queen they were major influences on her. Monday

So, my Monday starts. First off I have to meet a private investigator for an interview (it is time for background checks again with my job.) As I am walking down the steps in our building, I am out of breath. I can't talk, my heart is pounding and I feel really strange. So, after the interview I call our Dr's office that happens to be in our office building. I tell them my symptoms, they run some test, and before you know it, I am leaving work in an ambulance! I spend the afternoon in the ER, they found no blood clots or anything like that, so I was able to go home. They told me I must go to the heart specialist the next day. So now I am waiting to get the results from the heart specialist before I will know anything else. Lets hope it is nothing much.

None of my winners came in at the derby. I did win by chance, (no skill of my own) on a 2 $ pot so I did get 40. We bet all day on stuff (this is are big gambling day for the whole year.;) We won some and lost some, but the most important we had loads and loads of FUN!!!!! I have been kind of "blah" lately. Nothing has really happened negatively; I think maybe it is hormonal. When I get like this I know it is time to look at positives and make plans to do stuff I really like to do. So I put my head together with T's and boy did we make plans.:)

*Of course derby is coming up, (woo hoo!) we are actually just going to a derby party this year, but it will be loads of fun I am sure.

* I am going to see one of my best good buddies in Nashville, (She is coming up from Naples FL. with our sweet little god daughter.:)

*My birthday will be at the end of the month, so we are going on a date to dinner and see Sex in the City 2. (It came out just for my birthday!!) Then the next day we will be going to Churchill Downs.

*The best thing of all, (drum roll please) we are going to Savannah GA.! I have never been. I am really excited about going. My sister, mom and I are taking a girls trip down. I have always wanted to go there.

Things are looking up so I need to get happy, and count my blessings.

We had a great time on Friday. We drove up to Keeneland, took the back roads, and saw the GORGEOUS horse farms. We broke *about* even at the track. They were also having a hat show. I LOVE this hat. It was a little pricey so I did not purchase:)

It was an especially nice day at the Corder house, because not only did we celebrate Easter, we also had Conner's 4th Birthday! (Conner is our nephew, we adore him.) The Easter bunny also came, (I know this is ridiculous for a 33 year old,) but Easter "T" bunny brought me a gorgeous pink and green bunny basket; that had a little porcelain lamb and Toy Story 2 in side:)

So exited here in the bluegrass!!! Of course I am the only UK fan in my office:( I work in U of L country) They don't dampen my spirits this year!!! GO CATS!! I hope everyone had a fun St. Patrick's day!! I played green bunco and had a great time:) Everyone dressed in head to toe green, (some even had green wigs,) and all the food: green. No eggs and ham though.

I was so happy that Sandra won for best actress, and Jeff Bridges for best actor. I also liked and thought Precious was such a moving film, that it should have won best picture. I have not seen The Hurt Locker so I guess that is not an informed decision. This is my favorite dress. SJP Is just as cute as a button. I also thought it was different and I like that.

I have always been a "healthy" girl. Sometimes more healthy than others, but still I have never been small. As many of you know it is really hard to get nice clothes when you are size 12 or above. That is why I am totally a supporter of Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. They make healthy size clothes and I love'em for it. Liz Claibourne also does, which now that ISAAC MIZRAHI is working for them, I am sure they will have some really cute stuff. (I have already found a few things:)

When it is cold outside; we snuggle in and watch lots of movies. There are a few I really like, but I really loved this one. It is a bit dark at parts, but it is a "real" movie; with in depth characters with real problems they overcome. I would recommend this movie.
